SINOPSIS DISTRICT 9

Director Neill Blomkamp teams with producer Peter Jackson for this tale of extraterrestrial refugees stuck in contemporary South Africa. It's been 28 years since the aliens made first contact, but there was never any attack from the skies, nor any profound technological revelation capable of advancing our society. Instead, the aliens were treated as refugees. They were the last of their kind, and in order to accommodate them, the government of South Africa set up a makeshift home in District 9 as politicians and world leaders debated how to handle the situation. As the humans begin to grow wary of the unwelcome intruders, a private company called Multi-National United (MNU) is assigned the task of controlling the aliens. But MNU is less interested in the aliens' welfare than attempting to understand how their weaponry works. Should they manage to make that breakthrough, they will receive tremendous profits to fund their research. Unfortunately, the highly advanced weaponry requires alien DNA in order to be activated. When MNU field operative Wikus van der Merwe (Sharlto Copley) is exposed to biotechnology that causes his DNA to mutate, the tensions between the aliens and the humans intensifies. Wikus is the key to unlocking the alien's technology, and he quickly becomes the most wanted man on the planet. Ostracized and isolated, Wikus retreats to District 9 in a desperate bid to shake his dogged pursuers.

Top 5 Games

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

One of my favourite games on the original Xbox was The Chronicles of Riddick. I liked it so much I went to see the film of the same name which was a mistake as it was very, very bad and nowhere near as good as Pitch Black. The game already looked incredible back then and this sequel called Assault on Dark Athena looks like it could be a belter too. It’s a brand new story and this time there’s a multiplayer mode and of course it will look even better. The original Butcher Bay game is on there too complete with enhanced graphics and gameplay tweaks.

Resident Evil 5

After the fantastic Resident Evil 4 gave the survival horror genre a swift kick up the arse, it’s great to know we only have to wait a couple of months for Resident Evil 5. This one’s set in Africa and once again there’s another outbreak of that lousy T-Virus. Chris Redfield and the ever-cheesy Wesker are back in the action along with female characters Sheva and Excella. And of course, there’ll be plenty of angry infected people and mutants to shoot from your third-person view. Although this won’t revolutionise things this time around, I’m sure they’ll tweak this to make it even better than the last one.

Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams

Although all we can show you of Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams is this rather relaxing teaser trailer where a girl looks out to a lovely sunset holding what seems to be a Big Daddy doll made out of a baseball and a cork, it’s something I’m excited to play. Even though the last game was flawed in my opinion with the regeneration chambers mechanic, it did have an atmosphere about it I haven’t experienced since playing the original Half-Life. I’m not even sure if the game will be set in Rapture or in a completely different world. Hopefully there’ll be more magic in this sequel, and of course the ability to shoot fire, lightning and ice from your bare hands.

God of War III

I’m not a massive hack and slash fan but I can easily spare some time for the God of War games. This is the first game for the PS3 after Kratos’ outings on the PS2 and PSP, this game promises to be a painting in motion. From the looks of this it’s going to play smoother than the proverbial baby’s bottom and it looks like Kratos has got some funky new god-given upgrades to play with.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Uncharted took me by surprise when I played it on the PS3. I was expecting a run-of-the-mill action adventure and was totally blown away by everything about it. Ok, so it borrowed the best bits from Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider and Gears of War but that’s not a bad thing. In this sequel, Nathan Drake is on the trail of some Marco Polo treasure and travels to Italy, Tibet and even gets to play in the snow. There’ll be more stealth in this game as well as better climbing and that seamless stop and pop combat. It’s just another reason why I’ll play on my PS3 more this year.

That’s just five of a long list of games I’m going to play this year, and then of course tell you if they are in fact any good or not. Thanks for supporting Gamesweasel in 2008. SeJaRaH kOdiAnG

Kodiang merupakan sebuah pekan kecil di dalam daerah Kubang Pasu di negeri Kedah. Ia bersempadan dengan negeri Perlis iaitu Kampung Kubang Beruang di Kodiang dan Kampung Sena di Arau, Perlis. Sebahagian besar penduduknya merupakan petani. Bandar terdekat ialah bandar diraja Arau, Perlis jaraknya kira-kira 5 km.

Sejarah
Sebutan mengikut dialek tempatan: (kok diang). Perkataan Kok Diang adalah asal dari loghat bahasa Siam yang bermaksud 'bukit merah'. Asal Kodiang ialah di Kampung Kodiang Lama terletak 1 km dari Simpang Empat Pekan Kodiang melalui jalan ke Jitra. Di Kodiang Lama inilah sebuah kampung yang berdekatan dengan Bukit Keplu dan Gua Kerbau, di sinilah yang dimaksudkan dengan bukit merah, di mana ketika musim kemarau, dapat dilihat bukit ini akan bertukar warna menjadi ke'merah'an kerana daun pokok yang terdapat di bukit bertukar menjadi merah dan kering. Bukit Keplu juga diambil dari Bahasa Siam, yang membawa maksud Bukit Sireh (Kok Plu)



Masyarakat di sini kebanyakannya tergolong dari bangsa Melayu Islam. Masyarakat Melayu Kodiang menjalankan aktiviti pertanian sebagai sumber ekonomi mereka. Kebanyakan daripada mereka adalah pesawah padi dan penoreh getah. Kedai perniagaan dan Lorong Belakang Masjid didiami bangsa Hokkien dan Etnik Cina yang lain. Tidak terdapat penduduk asal dan lama yang menetap disini dari bangsa lain iaitu Siam atau India. Bangsa India hanya sebagai pekerja JKR atau Klinik Kesihatan. Bangsa Siam kebanyakan menetap di Padang Sera kerana di sana terdapat Watt Siam yang besar selain dari di Jejawi Perlis dan Watt yang kecil di Jalan Changloon dan Padang Sera.

Pekan Kodiang di masa era 70-an dan 80-an terkenal dengan pasembor. Terdapat 3 penjual pasembor utama iaitu Kedai Mamak Hussain, Gerai Abd Majid di simpang ke Sanglang dan Kedai Ghani di Medan Mara Stesen bas. Manakala kedai buku utama di Pekan Kodiang ini ialah Toko Buku Othman, dahulu di kaki lima inilah terdapat penjaja roda tiga menjual apom balik dan air minuman sejuk dan air tebu yang diusahakan oleh Wan Mahmud dan anaknya Wan Md Zamri. Terdapat juga gerai Bihun Sup Halim Beca yang terkenal dengan bihun yang bewarna kuning. Pengusaha air Tebu yang terkenal di Pekan Kodiang ialah Hassan atau lebih dikenali dengan panggilan Che Chan

Pada ketika ini kerja-kerja pelebaran jalan sedang dijalankan dari 2 lorong kepada 4 lorong.Lebuhraya Alor Setar ke Kangar melalui Anak Bukit, Kepala Batas {Lapangan Terbang(AOR/WMKA)} , Jitra , Tunjang , Padang Sera, Kodiang , Arau , Jejawi dan Kangar. Kerja-kerja fasa terakhir ialah dari Tunjang,Kedah ke Arau,Perlis. Terdapat kedai-kedai dan warung di pekan Kodiang telah dirobohkan untuk memberi ruang pada kerja-kerja pelebaran jalan. Antara kedai yang telah berubah ialah deretan kedai Toko buku Othman dan kedai makan Adnan, kedai makan Mydin termasuk juga telah dirobohkan dan lain-lain kedai berubah tempat ke stesyen bas iaitu jalan ke Changloon. Bank Maybank dan Tabung Haji sekarang ini berhampiran dengan bahu jalanraya, ruang letak kereta telah digunakan untuk kerja-kerja pelebaran jalan ini.

SinOpSis G.I Joe

G.I. Joe will be a modern telling of the "G.I. Joe vs. Cobra" storyline and its compelling characters that Hasbro created 25 years ago. The premise of this fantasy is the story of the G.I. Joe team, led by Duke, and their "fight for freedom wherever there is trouble" against the evil Cobra Commander and his Cobra force. This storyline was an instant hit with kids in the early 1980s, spawning a highly popular 3-3/4-inch action figure line, comic book collection and animated series. The G.I. Joe team will not be based in Brussels. Instead, they will be based out of the "Pit" as they were throughout the 1980s comic book series. And, in keeping with the G.I. Joe vs. Cobra fantasy, the movie will feature characters and locations from around the world. Duke, the lead character and head of the G.I. Joe team, will embody the values of bravery and heroism that the first generation of G.I. Joe figures established.

Aku student POLIMAS ambik kos Diploma Kejuruteraan Elektronik. Skunk aku dah masuk sem 5... dulu aku wat praktikal kat ATEA ENVIRONMENTAL TECH kat kulim tp kejap je sbb aku tukar tempat praktikal plak.. walaupun kejap tp byk kenangan kat situ.. antaranya aku dapat kenal ngan kawan baru dan mendapaat sedikit pengalaman.. tempat praktikal aku 2 wat tank fiber glass.. nih gmbar aku ngan member2 kat sana.
